Wishful World

PM TRUDEAU VS. PRESIDENT DUTERTE – MASSIVE POLITICAL MISTAKE … OUCH!

For the first time ever, Canada had the golden opportunity to participate in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit. The members of the ASEAN Summit plan and commit economic and cultural development for the future well being of their citizens. With a market of over 650 million people, it represents a very good opportunity for Canadians to expand their international market share. Unfortunately, PM Trudeau spoke more than he should have and apparently offended with his “altruistic speech” President Duterte and his regime.

ARE THE OCEANS OUR BIGGEST GARBAGE CAN … GO FIGURE?!

We, humans, solve difficult problems and create amazing things, but we stab our hearts in a kind of a “stupid and relentless suicidal mission” on a daily basis all over the world. A good example is the contamination and destruction of our Oceans and their ecosystem when we use the oceans as garbage disposals.

CLIMATE CHANGE: SCIENCE VS. CREATIONISM

Canadian Government General, Julie Payette is an intelligent person with a strong educational background and solid experience leading to changes for the better in our society. In fact, she is so smart, that she need not to always be politically correct. During her recent speech, she stepped forward with scientific knowledge, and as a Governor General, she was determined and respectful throughout her presentation. If people in her position hide scientific evidence keeping people ignorant just to be politically correct, it would be a greater damage to our nation and to the world.

CHAIN IMMIGRATION VS. SELECTIVE IMMIGRATION FOR NORTH AMERICA

A country’s self-sustained fertility rate should be 2.1 children. Controlled and selective immigration is crucial for Canada’s future and that of the United States. As of 2017, their fertility rate is 1.6 vs. 1.87 children respectively. In my opinion, we must allow and even promote immigration into both countries, but this should not be under PM Trudeau’s open door policy. It should be done under a selective immigration process based on personal merits and qualifications.

CANADIAN VALUES IN CRISIS DUE TO LACK OF ACTION.

There is no doubt that for the great majority of Canadians (and other countries worldwide), one of the most important values and personal rights in our nation is to establish communication among each other with uncovered faces for identification and recognition purposes. It is also a way of bonding with others. It helps us trust, commit, believe, and rely on the other person. Facial expressions are crucial for proper understanding and communication amongst people. It is part of our heritage, our identity, and way of being, but most importantly, it is critical for our protection, safety, and overall sense of security, which represents the most important human right of all. But when some new immigrants, refugees, and asylum-seekers, Muslims or not, challenge our traditions and well-being with disrespect using religion and Islamophobia as a false protective shield, then all Canadians are affected and should react immediately with patriotism and stand strong to protect our human rights. If we fail to do so, no one will do it for us! We are definitely not a racist country. We are friendly, accepting, noble and progressive, but abuse from other cultures should be stopped cold. We need to regain and protect our basic rights and values.

TROPHY HUNTING …. “THE SPORT” VS. “THE KILL – THE EXECUTION”.

Let’s face it; all animals have a right to live. Just because they do not speak like humans, it does not mean they do not feel or experience suffering, joy, pain, pleasure, desires, etc. All species feel, and feel deeply. What gives us the right to end their lives with a bullet or an arrow? The great majority of “trophy hunters” (just plain killers to others) apply cowardly entrapment techniques, to an oblivious and innocent creature. This can have a serious impact on their surroundings and on other species. Their ecosystem can be affected forever. The law of nature on our planet allows killing for food. It is a matter of survival. Either you eat or you die. But trophy hunting? To many people in today’s time and age, this is a cowardly and criminal action. These people insist that slaughtering magnificent and innocent species for the sake of their paws, head, ivory, or any other body part as a trophy, is to be barbaric, irrational, ignorant and abusive. Animals’ rights and freedoms do exist, but they require strict follow-up and protection from rational and neutral people within our society. What do you think?

WHEN WILL PARENTS LEARN TO SAY … NO … TO REALLY PROTECT THEIR CHILDREN?

Lack of parenthood sometimes pushes children to have an accident. A 10-year-old boy decided to sit on the retaining wall at Niagara Falls, for his mother to take a picture. When he repositioned himself, he slipped and fell over the gorge railing more than 25 metres (82.5 feet). He was flown in a helicopter to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the nearest hospital. He is in critical but stable condition.

ISN’T CHILD OBESITY A SILENT BUT SINISTER STYLE OF PARENTAL ABUSE? SHOULD PARENTS BE HELD LIABLE?

On October 12th of 2017, the morning update of The Globe and Mail had an article entitled: “Obesity rates among children have grown tenfold in the past 40 years”. Their article is based on the recent World Trade Organization study acknowledging Canada’s obesity rate at: Girls 9.9 per cent and Boys 14.7 per cent. This confirms a growth trend of 6.2 and 8.3 per cent, respectively, from 20 years ago. The article states that Dr. James Johnson (professor the Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences of the University of BC-Canada) stated: “Child obesity represents a major health crisis and a ticking time bomb for future health problems including diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer.”
