Wildfires and Floodings in Canada. Realistic Situation of our Planet

Last year Canada experienced one of the worst wildfires ever in the city of Fort McMurray, Alberta. This was the largest wildfire evacuation in their history with over 2,400 houses and buildings destroyed, along with 585,000 hectares lost.

During the month of May 2017, a large region in Montreal (Quebec), suffered unusual persistent rainfall causing rising floodwaters in about 130 municipalities and flooding over 1,900 homes.

Is this due to our planet’s warmer weather caused by climate change? Scientists have confirmed that this is the main reason. But there is still a great percentage of our population denying it’s veracity.

I sadly believe we are surrounded by many people with blinders on their eyes who believe that everything is fine and there is nothing to worry about. They think nature – or some celestial power – will always balance things at the end. But they refuse to see the one thing that is undeniable: the evidence of down-to-earth, mathematically proven science. Population growth and the indiscriminate use of oil and its derivatives is accelerating the process in a drastic fashion. Don’t believe me? Just evaluate how the world was 100 years ago and compare it to today’s concrete jungles all over the world, which is just bound to expand even more, strangling the mere existence of our environment and ecosystem.
